FAQs

You can access your results by visiting our website www.Discoveryhealthmd.com and go to the upper right-hand corner where you will see an option to select ‘PORTALS’. Please select the drop-down and choose the appropriate portal method based on your testing.

We provide results from our high throughput partner laboratories.

Next-Day results will be processed and posted by or before midnight the following day.

Antigen testing results will be available about 30 minutes after testing.

There are no guarantees or refunds for turnaround times due to processing lab delays

Please note that Discovery Health MD has been approved as a trusted testing partner for Hawai’i. Our partner labs have not directly received approval, but if you test through us, those lab results have been approved by the State of Hawai’i.

Your lab results may have only the name of the laboratory where the specimen was processed. Even though the results may not explicitly name Discovery Health MD, these result formats have been approved by and are being accepted by the State of Hawai’i.

Our partner labs results portal may state that they are not an approved partner. If you have tested through Discovery Health MD, your test results have been approved by the State of Hawai’i.

The State of Hawai’i has stated that they will contact us if there are questions or concerns about the results tested through Discovery Health MD and have our direct contact information available. Upon your arrival to Hawai’i, an airport representative will be able to manually verify that your result is from us and that we are in fact on the list of Trusted Testing Partners.

Test-To-Fly:

Before your sample is collected, you will receive a notecard with a QR code that will direct you to our DHMD results portal.

We expect to have your results by or before midnight the following day after your appointment. Historically, our results come in the early evening, but we cannot make any guarantees. 

Commercial Clients:

Test results will be sent to employers and Discovery Health MD. Employees should contact their employer to get a copy of their results.

Test-to-Fly:

No, our Test-to-Fly program is only available to individuals traveling through airports in the Seattle-Tacoma area. We do offer testing to our neighbors in Canada traveling through airports in the Seattle-Tacoma area as well.

Test-to-Work:

Testing will occur in the central auditorium at SEA, located pre-security, on the mezzanine level above ticketing and the security checkpoints near Door 21.

Test-to-Fly:

First you will need to visit our bookings page, which can be found here: Test-To-Fly Booking

Once the testing appointments are scheduled, you will receive an email with a link to fill out the online consent and questionnaire. You will be asked if you have any current symptoms or recent exposure to someone with possible COVID-19. If you have symptoms, you should not test and should seek medical care. You will be asked to provide demographic information and answer some questions including your travel history in the past 60 days. This information will help with contact tracing efforts  if you or your party have a positive result.

It is very important your name matches your identification exactly.

On the testing day, your ID will be verified and our medical staff will assist you with obtaining the nasal swab specimen. These will be sent to one of our partner laboratories for processing.

Test-to-Work:

Our testing process is highly adaptable to the needs of our commercial and remote clients. Please visit our Test-to-work page to learn more about how we can best serve your organization.

Upon booking, make sure to register on our DHMD results portal. On the day of the test, before your sample is collected, you’ll receive a notecard with a QR code that will direct you back to Discovery Health MD’s results portal where you will view your Determination Letter in digital PDF format. You may also access the Results Portal via our website, Discoveryhealthmd.com by selecting ‘Portals’ in the upper right-hand corner of the page.

We are not accepting or billing insurance for payment of any kind. 

The Washington State Office of the Insurance Commissioner FAQ states that insurance will cover testing and treatment for medically-necessary services, while our testing is meant to serve people looking for asymptomatic and travel testing. Travelers may contact their insurance company to find out whether they can be reimbursed for travel testing. We provide proof of payment receipt at the time of the test.

Discovery Health MD is anticipating providing point of care rapid testing soon, but we do not yet have a starting date for this testing option. You can find your results on Discovery Health MD’s easy-to-use online portal, including a downloadable PDF for use at various state and international entry points. Please contact Discovery Health MD directly if you are traveling to a country that requires completion of a specific form. The Port will issue a competitive solicitation for a testing vendor who can offer COVID-19 testing services beyond this pilot in 2021.

If you test positive, please contact your doctor. You will be contacted by a member of Discovery Health MD medical staff and advised to self-isolate for at least 10 days. Additionally, your information will be provided to the appropriate Public Health jurisdiction and the CDC. You will be asked to notify your close contacts for 48 hours prior to the positive test or development of symptoms and request that they self-quarantine for 14 days. If you have tested positive in the prior 90 days, the state of Hawaii has information on their website on how to submit information for travel in lieu of taking another test. Please do not come in if you have tested positive for the risk of exposing other individuals.

You must wear a mask and stay at least six feet away from people outside your immediate travel party. All staff will be in the appropriate PPE and adhere to strict distancing and hygiene protocols. Please let Discovery Health MD know if you are traveling with someone who may need assistance with adhering to these measures. If you have tested positive, please do not come in to be tested, we advise contacting your doctor.

We understand travel plans change and we are in an unprecedented time of uncertainty. You may log into your Acuity account to book, canceled, or reschedule any appointments 24 hours prior to your test. If you are unable to edit your booking, please call 206-333-0595.

We operate various testing options 7 days a week. You may plan to expect results on both weekends and holidays.

Seatac Mezzanine: 7:00-13:55 daily

Antigen Testing:  

Seatac Mezzanine: 9:30-13:30 daily (excluding Thursdays)

Delta Sky Club: 9:30-13:30 Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Sat/Sun.
