Discovery Health MD is ready to serve the needs of travelers in a hurry to any destination.
Travelers departing, arriving or connecting through Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) can now access lab-quality COVID-19 rapid tests with results in less than one hour.
Discovery Health MD (DHMD) has opened an on-site laboratory that allows them to offer reliable test results in under one hour. They are equipped to provide RT-PCR tests, the “gold standard” of COVID-19 testing, as well as tests required by various international destinations, including NAAT molecular tests and antigen tests. Rapid LAMP tests will be available in the next week.
“We’ve built out a robust rapid testing program that covers requirements for almost any destination around the world,” says Daniel Pulse, DHMD’s Director of Strategy and Operations. “With all of the testing options in one place, travelers have more flexibility and options to meet travel requirements.”
Travelers should come prepared knowing their destination’s arrival requirements. While it is the traveler’s responsibility to research local requirements at their destination, the friendly staff at the DHMD testing center will help travelers sign up for the test that correctly meets those requirements.
Rapid testing options start at $150 and vary in cost depending on the type of test. Travelers are encouraged to schedule an appointment through the booking tool on the home page at discoveryhealthmd.com. Walk-up appointments may be accommodated once all scheduled patients have been served.
The DHMD testing kiosk is centrally located above security checkpoint 3 on the mezzanine level at SEA. Travelers can access their test results, often in less than one hour, via DHMD’s online patient portal. Helpful staff members make it easy to register in the portal before testing takes place.
