Discovery Health MD Now Managing Monroe’s COVID-19 Testing Site!
Monroe, Wash. – With support from Snohomish Health District, Discovery Health MD, contracted through the Washington State Department of Health (DOH), and in partnership with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), has assumed full operations of the community COVID-19 testing site in Monroe at the Evergreen State Fairgrounds. This transition started Monday, Feb. 14, 2022, at Evergreen State Fairgrounds. Current hours of operations are Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays 8:30 am – 6 pm.
Discovery Health MD’s Chief Growth Officer Daniel Pulse says they’re pleased to bring their services and expertise to the Monroe area. Discovery Health MD is a Northwest company that provides COVID-19 testing and vaccination services to individuals, communities, and companies directly, and through partnership with state and local health organizations.
“We have been advocating for testing in various regions around the state. We know that some areas have seen extremely high positivity rates and our teams are motivated to do what we can to increase equitable access,” says Pulse.
Although Omicron rates are seeing a bit of a drop from those immediately following the holidays, local medical experts agree, testing is still the best way to keep you and your family safe. This convenient drive-thru testing facility is available in Monroe if you have any symptoms or think you might have exposure.
Discovery Health MD will perform lab-based PCR (polymerase chain reaction) tests for anyone who has symptoms of COVID-19 or has been exposed to someone with COVID-19. Test results are usually available within 48-72 hours. Test results are delivered through a secure online portal. Health insurance will be asked for but is not required. There is no cost for the test.
Discovery Health MD offers an online portal at https://discoveryhealthmd.com/community-covid-19-testing/ to make an appointment for testing but says Walk-ins are always welcome.For Snohomish County residents with limited or no internet access, the Health District’s call center at 425-339-5278 is open 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays (closed weekends and holidays). Staff can help people register for testing appointments if any are available.
